Went there for stamping on Tue, Sept 14. Infopass appointment was at 11:45 am. Went in at 11:35 after parking car beside Battery St meter. Handed token L526. Now the wait starts.
12:15 - still waiting. went out to feed meter. 30 min limit
12:45 - still waiting. went out again to feed the meter.
1:00 - see a small gathering where I find people with infopass appointment at 10:30 still waiting. It appears that all people with infopass appointments have been treated as walk-ins and have been given wrong tokens. The higher the alphabetical order, the greater the priority. We now submit our old tokens and given new tokens by a new person at the token counter. New token is D516.
1:50 - D516 announced.
2:00 - out of USCIC San Francisco after stamping.
I am at a loss to understand how these bunch of morons, assholes, etc. manage to do such a thing. The lady who was handing out tokens in the morning did this. And yes, we are also to blame because we did not immediately raise the issue. Had we done that, we could have got out earlier.
MORAL OF THE STORY:
1. STOP BELIEVING USCIS CAN EVER IMPROVE
2. IMMEDIATELY VOICE YOUR OBJECTION/CONCERN/ETC( READ - BE HEARD BY THE RIGHT PERSON)
This flood of approvals we are seeing now, would have never happened if the lawsuit was not filed and the flood of faxes not sent to senators and congress persons. If it was not filed, nothing would have happened. Or if it was filed earlier, we would have seen the approvals earlier.
So guys beware when you go for stamping at SF. I am sure this incident is not going to repeat again. But who knows how creative USCIS personnels can be?
cheers
