Stamping at Newark - Wednesday question?

I received my 485 approval notice today. It asks me to go to Newark on a Wednesday for stamping. However we are going on vacation for three weeks this weekend. Can I go Thursday/Friday this week for stamping or do I have to wait till I get back to go on a Wednesday? Has anyone experienced GC stamping on any other day tham Wednesday when the 485 notice says go on Wednesday. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
 
gotta go on a wednesday...

if its not possible u need to contact them and see if its possible to get an alternative appointment date. without an appointment date, trust me, they will not even speak to you. You will only be wasting your time.

I think they do stamping on other dates also. Only it will be a long wait and going early morning to INS. Why don\'t you call them on phone?

BTW, I think there is no real deadline by which you should get it stamped.

I think going on a wednesday is the most prudent option. There were only about 100 people and you can go late (any time between 8 - 12).

Or, line up early in the morning and plead with the folks to let you in.
