stamping and address question

Hi all,

I am going for my I-551 stamping soon with an Infopass appt at the Newark 970 Broad Street address. I am also planning to move with-in three months.

Do you think it is a good idea to change my address when I go for stamping to a friends address? Or would it also be a possibility to ask them to mail it to my lawyers office?

I only ask, because I don't know if the green card will be mailed within three months.

I have been reading different people with different timing experience. So I don't know how long mine will take.

What does LUD stand for in this forum?

Using Lawyers office address

First of all CONGRATULATIONS on getting your I-485 approval.

You do have an option of using lawyers office address for getting your GC delivered. Lawyer will be able to send it to you. I know this because when I went for stamping the passport with the I-485 approval notice, the approval notice already had the lawyers address, the INS officer asked me whether I wanted my physical card to be mailed to lawyers address, I said NO and asked the officer to change it to my current address. So it is possible to send the card to your lawyers address. Absolutely safe.
