Stamping after getting Green Card

We got the "welcome notice" and green card today by mail. We were interviewed in phili office 4 weeks back but the case was not approved and stamped. Can we get the stamping in the passport now after getting the card ? I know stamping is not really neccessary but i want to get the stamping done.

Congratulations jvs1!

I think that you can still do passport stamping even if you have an actual green card. If you really need the stamp, which is equivalent to temporary green card. Just don't tell local USCIS guys that you received your card in the mail.

I would like to ask you how much time you had to wait for an interview after your file got transferred to Philly? I am in EB12 category and most probably my file will be transferred to Philly as well. Thank you.

Thanks. My ND is Nov '01. My case was trans to phili after RFE in May 28'03. They took 11 months for interview.
