Just want to post our experience today for your reference:
We arrived at the Houston office around 8:00 Am and lined up in the long line to get a number. After 50 minutes in line, got to the window and got C number 325 and 326. The waiting time on the tickets are 4 hours. The number on the screen was 306 when we got our numbers.
There was window 5 and 7 process C numbers. It went to 216 at 11:00 AM. Then both window closed and lights are off at C number screen. I thought that was lunch break. So, went out had lunch cross street. When I got back in around 11:45 AM, the number went to 219 and window 9 was open for C numbers. Then window 9 went to lunch and window 5 reopen for C numbers again.
We wait till 1:00 PM and it was our turn. The officer was very nice. He asked for all the EADs, I-94, AP, approval notices. Then filled out a form conformed addresses, name, etc. Had right index finger fingerprinted and signed. Stamped my passport and wrote down my SRC # and A# on the same page as the stamp. He told me that I can check the card order status online using SRC#. I asked normally how long it takes for the card to arrive. He said it depends, some people several weeks, some people about three month.
So, that's all. I'll put our information into the plastic card tracker later.
