Stamp in passport

Quick question. The stamp on the passport is just is just and interim form of proof for the green card, right? Because I already have my green card but before I got it, my passport was not stamped. I plan to travel next month and I just wanted to make sure that the stamp isn't something that is meant to accompany the actual card.

The stamp is temporary evidence of Permanent Residency. As you have your physical green card, you have non-temporary evidence of Permanent Residency, and the stamp is not required. The two are not 'related' and you do not need both.

minor problem arises if u loose ur greencard

make sure u have a photocopy and number of greencard in a safe place.

usually it goes like this- in US id does not make any difference eventhough u lose ur greencard

but if u loose it abroad - then u dont have any secondary proof that u r a permanent resident - untill u get a new card
