Staging area but not done with security check

I called the NSC, IO said my case is with 18000 other applications in staging area, asked me to hold telling she is checking one more thing and told my security check is not completed. My wife's case is all done.

What does that mean, why do they have to have my case in staging area when security check is not cleared. On mid of 2006, they replied by mail that my case is waiting for visa... conflicting information.

I took infopass, the local IO said everything is good, write a letter to NSC... wtf.

Any one has similar to what I heard ?

I also got similar reply last month but instead of staging area, they told me distribution area. They said unless the security check is done, the case won't be pulled to approve.

Did you talk to a lady IO who was super nice person on phone ? I got the same reply.

she said they wont process until security check is done and they have to wait, I have to wait until the third party agency completes and sends the results. I did 3 FPs. The IO said my wife case is all good but cant approve as my case is pending.
