Stages between FP and Approval - Ciba please help

What are the stages involved after FP is done and before the approval. Does anybody know how it works. Does INS do any background checks (if yes then how much time does that take), any other checks, etc....

Ciba me too wanna know....the IIO today said on June 19 they(FP department ) were doing backgroud checks for me and my wife case....donno what it means..

That\'s all. Once you completed FP and checked with FBI, you just
wait until you hear from them (i.e., an approval notice). Some folks
are very cautious and call CSC to make sure their FPs are recieved.

The so called background check is already done at FBI.

helper, your FP is tomorrow (07/18/01) right?

debo: from your IIO conversation post, it seems like your case is
close to adjudication. Cross your fingers!

Ciba thanks !! so what does the FP department do for background checking?? The FBI must have already replied to FP department ..so what are they waiting for for past 4 weeks since mine background check was requested on june 19 per IIO.
