St. Louis visa stamping refused ..,

Hi,

I sent the passports (mine and my husband's) to St. Louis in September. Today I called the DC office and found that the visas were refused with the reason "incomplete employment letter". I may get the package in the next few days.

My questions are:

1. Will there be any marks on the passport mentioning that the visa has been refused?.

2. In my case, how long it would take to get the stamp, if I resubmit the application with additional documents?.

3. Do I need to pay the visa application processing fee and reciprocal visa issuance fee again?.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Devi.

Go to www.travel.state.gov/hlop.html.
You may have some of the info' available.
like
'If the Visa Office cannot revalidate your visa due to a lack of documentation (incomplete DS-156, no DS-157, no I-94 or I-797, employment letter that is not comprehensive, etc.), your passport and other documentation will be returned to you using your airbill/courier envelope or self-addressed stamped envelope. The Visa Office does not retain passports, I-94s, or other documentation in a visa revalidation application pending receipt of properly completed application forms, correct fees, etc. *You will receive a form stating what documents are required to continue your application. Please follow the instructions carefully when resubmitting your application.* Return the Visa Office form with your resubmission to the address on the form. Do not enclose your passport and other documents in an inner envelope within your mailing envelope. Ensure that your visa photograph is properly glued or stapled to the DS-156. '
etc.
