Has anyone had problems getting their SSN after coming here on any non-immigrant visa...
My fiance is here on an L1, and has been here on an L1 before. Both times, his SSN never came through. It wasn't denied, it just never came through. The SSN office said that his application was still at USCIS for verification...
Are there name checks similar to what we go through for US Citizenship? My fiance doesn't have a muslim sounding name at all.
I apologize in advance for bringing up an inappropriate thread, if that is the case...if this is the wrong forum to be posting in, please point me in the right direction...
Anyone else who has had a similar experience, please let me know (you can PM me if that's easier) and what the steps to solution or outcome was...
