SSN processing after arrival to U.S

Hi,

I'm a Diversity visa holder I was admitted to US in June 13th 2021, during filling my Ds260 I authorised social security administration to assign me a SSN, I read in the SSA official website there is nothing more to do from my end.
But When I spoked with the Social Security in my area they informed me that I have to book an appointment after 4 weeks of my arrival to U.S soil and provide them with the information they need to start processing !!

Any advice how to act
 
Just wait a couple of weeks and see if it shows up and if it doesn’t, then yes you’ll have to go into an SSA office with your passport and stamped immigrant visa.
