SSN on EAD for L2

Hi,
I am on L2 and have applied for my EAD and awaiting approval.
My questions are:
1) Can I get a SSN once I have my EAD on L2. I was not given SSN on L2 alone.
2) What is the tax implication once I start working on my EAD on L2? Do I need to apply for a separate Tax Id or something (if I cannot get a SSN) or my SSN (if I can get it) would be sufficient?
3) Can I apply for SSN or Tax Id while my EAD is being processed?
Please advise.

A: You will get SSN

A: Use your SSN for tax filing once you get it

A: You can apply for tax id but not for SSN

Thanks for your inputs, Narsimha Rao. They sure are helpful.
I think it is best for me to wait until my EAD comes and then I will apply for SSN. That should take care of the income tax, etc after I start working.
