I am asylum seeker and my case is pending, now it’s my time to apply for work authorization and ssn,
I want to ask can I apply for ssn for my 6 years child ?

What i did was after i received my EAD and SSN with the I-765 i filed the same paperwork for my 9 year old. They sent his SSN and EAD without authorization to work

Yes you can, and you should

There is an check on EAD application saying if you want SSA to provide you with a SS number
