SSN card with DHS Authorization??

:confused: Dear All,

Can any one answer my question. I got my 485 approved and stamped my Passport with I-551. Didn't get my Plastic card yet. I went to the SSN office and applied for a replacement SSN card, handovered my old SSN card. Again I got a SSN card in mail with :Valid for Work only with DHS Authorization". Is this normal or it's mistake by the Social Security Department?

Any one there, help me please.................... :confused:

Yes, it's mistake. you need to go back to SSA office again and request for correction.
 
Has to be done in person for any adult. You need to tell the person that you need to remove that sentance. I just changed the card. I applied last Tuesday and received the new card this Monday.
