SSN before EAD for L-2??

Folks,

I have submitted I-765 for an EAD for my spouse who is on an L-2. Can i go ahead & simultaneously apply for an SSN for my spouse while the EAD processing is on? Is the SSN even needed or is an EAD sufficient while applying for employment?

You can not apply SSN when your EAD is processing. Once you get the card then goto SSA office and obtain one. Usually you will get it a SSN within a week or so.
