I'm on H4 and applying for H1 thru premium processing. I know I can only start after Oct 1st. My question is "Can I apply for SSN after I get my H1 approval so that I can start working from Oct 1st"??
I am also facing the same problem. My H1 B visa got approved with validity date from october 5, 2004. Can I apply for SSN now or should I need to wait until october. Please help
