SSN - After GC

Anyone has idea about SSN . Currently I have SSN with "Authorized to Work only with INS permission" like that..

Do you know if I go to SSN office with GC card? Will they remove restriction? Or there will be same restriction in SSN after GC also?

I found below information. GC holder can receive card without any restriction.

Check with local SS office

File new SSN application with approved GC information (after 3-4 weeks) of GC approval. SS office will re-issue SS (same SSN number) ticket with OUT the "RESTRICTED" wording.
