Well i will soon be on SSI as all my papers have been approved just need to wait for an appointment, my question is can i still apply for an AOS for my husband seeing how i haven't worked this whole year? I heard i need 3 tax returns and a job making over 15 G's a year to apply. I only have 2 tax returns, i have spent a year in Africa doing volunteer work and this year i been to college and was hospitalize for 3 months (in & Out). When they punch up my SSN # and see i havn't worked will they deny my application or does my disablility counts for something? It would totally suck if i can't file for my husband because of my disablility.

Im a born US Citizen, living in NY. Thanks.

Well you will need a co-sponsor who meets the income requirement(125% of the federal poverty line) of their household plus your husband. If you go to the website and click under forms, click on I-864 and read the instructions. Also the form I-864P tells you exactly how much a person would have to make to qualify depending on their household size
