SR Response, have any one got like this?

Dear Friends,

I got a SR response to a query placed by an IO, when I went for Infopass appointment last month. The SR response dated Aug 29 stated as follows.


"Your case is pending at Nebraska office. we have no other information that can be provided to you about your case. For any further inquiry about your case, please call after 30-60 days ".

This SR response is a second one, the first one dated Jun 23, 2007 stated that "my Back ground security check is pending".

There was nothing mentioned about any review or extended review in the response message, during my Infopass appointment IO confirmed that my Back ground security check is cleared.

I had my 3 rd FP last week Friday. Just wondering if some one had a similar response.

Looks to me like your visa number is assigned and working on it. You may get the approval very soon. My reading on this is - they do not want to tell the people and get bugged everyday.

I doubt these SR responses. People who ever send these responses doesn't seem to know what exactly going on with your case. Looks like they only look at high level information.

I got same respone from SR you got it. I called NSC IO and I got a nice guy he told me your name check is pending. background/internal checks are done by USCIS and that could be done quickly but NC takes long time from agencies. SR repsonse I would say high level only that security check is pending.

other common thing I have seen things in USCIS works completely random so one can't predict exact answer to questions / issues.
