Hello esteemed users on this forum,
First off, greetings, Happy Holidays, and wish you all the best in the coming new year (thought I at least start on a positive note
)
Please can anyone help me with a question: I had initiated an SR sometime early November 2007, and received an 'awaiting additional review' letter today (see exact text below):
What should I expect at this stage, given that my PD is no longer current due to the Dec-Jan retrogressions? I tried an Infopass (mid November '07) to ascertain if a VISA number has already been allocated to my case - thought this was unlikely, but I tried anyway - and was promptly informed by the IO that this is not ascertainable by them, and that "the case is presently under review and it is entirely up to TSC to determine how to proceed with the case".
At this stage:
- Should I expect no movement (wait 60 days, call USCIS again and not be able to initiate another SR if PD is not current)
- Should I expect an RFE/Interview letter/Approval within 60-90 days?
- What else?
In the meantime, one slight observation is that the wait period referred to in the letter I received today is relatively shorter (60-90 days, as opposed to 6 months as in the case of some others in this forum).
Thanks in advance,
Sidbari36
