I submitted my I-140 in early May this year to Nebraska and got the receipt one week later. Early July, I submitted my I-485 form to Nebraska. No any news so far. Next week, my wife is coming back to US and I'd like to submit her I-485 form. So here are two questions:
1). Which center should I submit my wife's I-485 form? Nebraska or Texas? According to "direct filing", I need to send my wife's I-485 form to Texas since we are in Texas. In addition, some people told me that Texas center process fast than Nebraska. Considering that my case (I-140 and I-485) is in Nebraska, is it good to submit my wife's case to Texas?
2). As I said, I just submitted my I-485 to Nebraska and so far got no reply, no receipt and no check cashed, so I don't have a A#. So when I submit my wife's case, what should I do? Will immigration officer link my case to my wife's? if my wife's case and my case are in different center. can I just attach my I-140 receipt notice?
Thanks a lot for your help. It is important for me.
