My fiance is a US Citizen but has never really lived in US. She was born in US but has lived in India since she was 2 years of age.
After marriage, she wud be coming to the US for the first time.
1. What all steps should she take before flying out here?
Any particular documents other than passport is needed?
2. After marriage, she will be in India for about 6 months to finish her studies before flying out. Can I apply for Family based GC before she comes over (during this 6 months)? Or do i have to wait until she is here?
I am currently on H1.
