Spouse card not received. FP went to NVC

Hello All,

I received my card and my spouse did not. I called VSC, after IIO checking carefully with different systems, IIO said, my spouse FP(one they took during stamping) went to NVC instead of VSC. Also said "we will call NVC and it will take 4 weeks to receive from NVC and processing card will take 2 weeks. So check back after 6 weeks"

Any idea? or any one in similar situation?

Moral: Guys whoever not received card after 1 month of stamping pls call SC and check whats going on.

card not received yet!!!

Spouse (derivative beneficiary) received her card which was ordered on Oct. 30th (a month and 5 days after stamping). My status still reads "this case was approved on sep. 12th ....".

Spoke to two different IIOs at an interval of about a week and both confirmed that my card has been put on the stack that needs to be entered into the computer that orders a card!!! Why was my case different from that of my wife?? God knows!!!

The "card production" date in my case was apparently shown as November 13, 2002. This morning I was asked to give it another 30 days and then call the SC if I had still not received the card by then.

So, still waiting ...

PS: Passports were stamped at Baltimore INS on Sep. 25th

my card is hanging in there too

pp stamped 30 sep 2002. (philly)

called IIO two weeks back to figure out what was going on. she said that they recieved my picture and the whole package from philly office on oct 6, and that my file seems to have moved and worked upon since then. She asked me to check after a week.

I plan to call them tomorrow. God Help me
