Spouse I-485 filing- important question

My I-485 has been pending with TSC.. this week I am applying for
my wife's 485...my question is...

1. Should the cover letter should be written and signed by me ..saying that
I am filing for my wife's 485 based on derivative status...or my wife should
write and sign the cover letter saying that she is filing 485 based on her
spouse I-485 pending..

2. Since she is on F1 and also on graduate assistanceship..but her I-20 still
shows partial support from me (her husband)..so do I need to send in
Affidavit of support too as supporting document..

please answer soon.. u know I need to meet the sept 30 deadline..

If u are not using att then her petition should be filed and all docs should be signed by herself unless asked principle to sign. ur supportng doc will be attached too.

If u sign on c-letter it would mean u are filing on her behalf then u must be qualify and comply the agent requirement by fling G-28.

She must comply the requirement of 485 as dependant case. it means applicant should put aside the prv story of 120/supt, and shouldn't mix it with 485 affidavit.

Even the medical done on for non-AOS application prevously should be redone, u may show the proof of tests/vacinces already taken to avoid duplicate vacince issue and save some $$ .

.. so regarding affidavit...she should send a new affidavit of support (from me) with her application..

Correct, New Affidavit and $500 for shopping for new shoes, dress and handbag. :)

I cannot file form I-864 (affdavit of support) since one must be a U.S. citizen or permenant resident to file it.... and my I-485 is still pending..

Friend,

You I believe there are thousands of ppl who have pending 495 and they filed Affidavit, plz confirm that do u need I-134 or I-864, if they have column just write "I-485 Pending and Alien #".

Is anyone else who is reading and file for spouse plz share that u file 864 or I-134?
