We just got an email from USCIS that my spouse application is approved today. It was 8+ months after the primary approval. The email says "This case approved. An approval noticed was mailed ..."

Just to recap, this is the story :
Primary got approved on July 20 2005
On Sep 2005, USCIS accepted (in writing) that spouse case was sent to National Records Center my mistake
On Nov 2005, USCIS responded to attorney paralegal that case in under name check
On Nov 2005, attorney got the message from AILA laison that Secuity check is pending
On March 6 2006, called USCIS for status and got the same message "pending Security check". Also, was shocked to learn that USCIS had my old address on file. CSR took down my new address and updated it. He said all he could do is, sent a 'note' to the 'concerned department' asking them to give me an update about my case (whatever that means)
I was repeatedly trying reaching TSC but always used to get the message "Due to a temporary problem with our system, we cannot access ...blah blah" when i punch in my SRC#. It happened daily for almost 2 weeks. Later, I had given primary SRC#, which the system accepted and connected me to TSC (option 4, POJ method). The CSR at TSC again repeated the same "name check story". She mentioned that, TSC had requested Name check once on Nov 2004 and again on Feb 2006.
On March 22 2006. The approval.
Dunno, whether my phone calls did anything good. Whatever it is, we are glad that it is over now.
