Hello All,

Both mine as well as my wife's EAD petition was approved and I got my EAD card on tuesday , but still waiting for my wife's EAD card even though both of our cards were mailed the same day. I have heard that in case one does not receive the card, he/she needs to re apply again...Is this true.??

I am prepared to wait for some more time, but can we request USCIS to resend another cards , Please advise

EAD Card - How long can one expect upon approval notice?

Hi gurus,

This is the online message for my wife's EAD application.

"This case has been approved. On July 14, 2004, an approval notice was mailed. If 14 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283."

It is coming end August and she has not received her EAD card. Any ideas how long it will take? What should she do at this moment? Another curious question is why they state "approval notice"? Should it not state that it was approved and a card is being mailed out?

Thanks in advance.

Did you change your address?
If Yes, then did you gave post office forwarding instruction (it is advisable to give both your and spose name... Family name sometimes may not be applicable for your wife). Also you need to update the address at USCIS.

For me, my wife EAD was returned back. After around 15 to 20 days the status changed to that the document mailed to you was returned by post office. We had already called the USCIS for address change... so we went to Local INS office and got a query started to resend the card. The card was sent with in 7 days.

I hope this is helpful.

If your EAD application is more than 3 months old, you may walk into your local INS office with relevant papers and get one.
