Spouse Card not received for 5 months

Hello,

I consider myself lucky that our 485 was approved more than 5 months back. We (my wife & me) got our passport stamped on 30th September.

Incidently, I got my actual card within 3-4 weeks. However, my wife has not yet received it. We thought she would get it soon, but, now its more than 4 months since I got my card. The status on the internet and on the phone is the same, i.e. '... your BCIS document will be mailed as soon it is ready".


Anyof you have similar kind of experience? Any suggestions for me? (If I call INS, I am worried I will get default answer)
Can my attorney send them a fax query on this matter?

Greenhope, I wish I had your problem, hehe :).

BTW, you know how attorneys go .. <<no comment>>.

I know another guy .. who waited for 14 months .. very very similar to your situation .. , and then they sent a fax, and their cards showed up next month, but faxes used to be a lot more responsive then.

Yea you can send them a fax query, doesn't hurt, but you know the attorney's answer, and INS's answer ... but do it anyway .. and keep a record of your communication.
