Spouse abuse, what to do?

got into a fight with my wife cause she wanted me to hand her all my pay checks like i used to do the past two years so she can blow our money that i worked hard for in horses and other stuff that we don't need at the end she gives them away or get ride of them, she had too much debt on her credit cards and she wanted me to pay them off, she was totally slaving me, and because i got my own personal checking account at the bank, and sat with her and told her that she pays half the bills and i will help her and even pay more than half, she agreed with me but then the next day she wrote me a letter telling me to hand her all my paycheck and keep only 50 dollars or she will file for divorce and call the homeland security on me and stop my green card proccess which took so long and i haven't got it yet even though it's been almost two years since we got married.After all i told her either i pay half of all the bills and give her a little more money or i will leave, after that she turned so abusive and mean to me, she won't let me even stay the night at the house and she was texting me and calling me all the time to leave the house, i don't know anybody in this town exept for a few people i knew throgh her and i didn't have a place to go, anyway i had a friend who knew about it all and offered to give me a tem place to stay, after that she shut my cell phone off, and took me out of our joing checking accout at the bank and called the INS on me, and turned to a real mean person, she has been abusing me for over a year now and i have been taking it for so long,I have some friends of her who knew about what was going on and they can tell the truth about her and about how she was treating me and using me, some of her family also know her well and they helped me to get through this hardship, i have all the threatening letters that she wrote me asking me for money or she will be mean with my papers and i can prove to anybody how abusive she was.Please help me and tell me what to do, cause i think my work permit will not be valid and they will definitly deport me, knowing the fact i should have my green card a long time ago, but i didn't get it yet, and if i wanted to have it, all i had to do is give her my money and stand the abuse some more time...

I don't think so that you have to worry about your GC and other related immigration issues. If you want to be with your wife and you don't want to leave her, it is another story, but if you had enough and would like to take a stand, you could very well do that. Make sure you save all her letters with threats and other nasty stuff that could make your strong proving that you wanted to save your marriage but your wife has crossed the limit and is using you for money etc etc. I am sure you could prove all of that in the court before the judge. I am sure you will get justice and you will be fine.
 
Thank you for the response Atlanta_Brother, i have all the threats letters and text messages from her, and i will be showing them to the judge too. and i was trying hard to save the marriage for many times and she's the one who threatened me with divorce several times, i think it's the end of the road between us, she's so greedy and won't try to save the marriage, it's all money to her, there is no love in our relationship anymore...
 
You just live your life once. You just get one shot, that's it. You have every right to live a peaceful and happy life. Do what you gotta do. If you think, she isn't gonna change, you should step up and take a stand for yourself. Trust me, when it's all over, you will be a happy camper.
 
How far along are you in the GC process? Have you filed yet? What is your current status - do you have your own status in the US?
 
my green card proccess has been pending for over a year and half my AOS interview was on May 11, 07 and still pending, she called the immigration office three days ago and i don't know what she told them but i think she asked them to stop my papers, so i'm wondering if my EAD will still be valid so i can continue work or not, and i'm wondering what will they do next.
 
Make in Infopass appointment and go explain everything to them. Keep all your proof of how she was blackmailing you and ask them what's holding up the approval of your Green Card.
 
i didn't know about the I-360 form, Thank you for the advice, but i think i still need a lawyer to fill it out and help me with my case, i don't think i can do all this by myself.
 
can I kindly ask, in a situation like this, after 2 years of conditional GC, if the guy shows proof of abuse in the marrage (text messages and letters etc), is there a 'high chance' that he will be able to extend his GC 'unconditionally' for the next 5 years ?
 
all i have is a work permit, i don't even have the 2 years GC, can somebody tell me please what will happen to the work permit now, will it still be valid? or not?
