spouse 485 filed with wrong service center?????

My lawyer screwed up by sending My wifes 485 application was send to VSC instead of TSC. I am not sure what is going to happen to it?

I am thinking of refiling her 485 by sending another copy with all the initial evidence and also with a cover letter stating the why we are sending a another copy

I had a few questions?

1. Whats going to happen to the VSC application? I have a feeling it would probably be rejected? Any Comments???????
2. If somehow the VSC application finds its way to TSC then what are the consequences since now TSC would probably have 2 485 application.
Would they generate receipt for both the applications or the 2nd application would be rejected or both would be rejected?

I was thinking if both the applications are receipted then in that case later we would withdraw 1 application?

Any advice from Guru's appreciated on Legal status and effect on her case in near by future?

I don't think you need to worry. Here is the text excerpt from USCIS FAQ released yesterday.

"Q6: What happens if an application is filed at the wrong Service Center?
A6. Forms I-485 should be filed at either the Texas or Nebraska Service Centers. However, through August 17, 2007 only, employment-based adjustment applications filed at the California and Vermont Service Centers will not be rejected and will be relocated to the appropriate Service Center. Filing at the wrong location could result in processing delays."

My 485 was already filed in Sep 2005. my wife 485 is a derivative link. so is her 485 also counted as employment based application?
 
also my wife application reached VSC on July 3. Not sure if the FAQ's apply for July 17 through Aug 17 or July 1 through Aug 17.
