Spousal Ammedment

Hi,

I was reading thro some posts, where in NVC was asking for PP\'s
ammended to reflect marriage.

How big of a deal is it not to have PASSPORT\'s of either spouses
ammended, to reflect the marriage? Instead have the legal and original
proof of wedding and requisite documentation?

Recent Interviewee\'s please shed some light on this topic!.

My wife lives in Milwaukee , WI and I live in NJ.
Did CP on Feb 1st 2002.
She had not even changed her last name ( maintains maiden name ) .
Our passports did not reflect a marriage either. There is no law which says we have to do so.
We had a civil wedding in new jersey . ( we re both indian citizens ) .
All they wanted in the CP interview was the mariage certificate .

No issues raised at all. In any case , I carried tons of pictures , e mails , phone records to proove that we are indeed married . This additional proof that I carried was not required / asked for.
