I (citizen) am planning on sponsoring my parents for GC. I have an adopted sibling, who is also a GC holder via her husband. She is about 4 month older than i am. However, there is no adoption paper available (and people involved have all passed away). So on her birthcertificates, my parents are listed as her birth parents.
Now the question i have are the following:
a) on my i-130, would INS ask for evidence for the family relationship, since her birthdate is so close to mine?
b) on my parents' i-485, since we have to enter her A#, would that causing the INS to ask for evidence on her adoption? As i mentionde above, it's almost impossible to produce the adoption paper, as it wasn't a custom then, and people involved have all passed away. In addition, all her paperwork has always shown my parents' as her birth parents. Would that cause my parents' application be denied?
thanks.
