Sponsoring parents: no birth and marriage certificates

Hello:

I want to sponsor my parents for green card. I am US citizen, originally Indian.

Unfortunately, they do not have proper birth certificates or marriage certificate.

Please could you share your experiences if you have had this situation and your solution. If affidavits have to be provided please could you post sample text and other instructions like who can provide the affidavits?

Instructions embedded withing the I-130 form describe what to do in these circumstances. Basically it involves getting church, school or census records or affidavits from people living at the time of the event you are trying to prove.

Just a hint.... "birth certificate affidavit" on google... and you will thank one day....:p You have your answer....
