Sponsoring Parents & in-laws in a short time

I just sponsored my Parents visitor visas last week and they got their visas approved. Now that I want to sponsor my in-law's visas, got an appointment date with chennai consulate on Sep 3rd. My question is, Is it OK to sponsor again within a short time ie. it is not even 2 months by september I sponsored my parents. Are there any chances of rejections or queries? Or do they look for more balances in my bank accounts?

Does any one have the same experience or did any one sponsored your parents and in-laws together or within a short time? Please share your experiences.

Thanks.

As your parents and your in-laws are not applying together, there is a good chance that the consulate cannot related the 2 applications and you should be fine.

If the consulate relates the 2 applications, you would need to show more balance in your account. Typically around 30k/person is a good number (cash equivalents) though ur salary can make a difference as well.

Goodluck!

Atlantabhopali,

Thanks for your comments here. There is a place on I-134 to list previously submitted affidavit of support persons names and date submitted. They can always relate previous affidavit of supports from here. Anyhow as you suggested, I will try to put up more cash balances in my bank account.

Thanks.

we got visas for both sets of parents, about 6 mths apart and both got 10 yr multiple entry from Delhi.

the balance was around 20K
sal around 65 in both cases.

we did mention previous sponsorship on I-134

Hi PHGuy,

Could you give me the steps on how to sponsor your parents? I'd like to sponsor my mom and bring her to the US for a short visit.

Thanks!

Praytx,
My parents interview went really smooth at chennai and was done in regional language. My father is retired and my mom is a house wife. I do not have my siblings in US.

check my previous posting regarding ther interview questions and papers I send them.
