Sponsoring Parents and Brother under 21

I'm going to be a US Citizen in a month and I started the process to sponsor my parents and my brother who is under 21. So far I'm told that I can't sponsor my brother who is living with my parents and once I will sponsor my parents and they will come to USA then they will my brother who is under 21 and it will take 6 yrs for him to come to USA.
I need to confirm with anyone of you, who knows anything about it? I highly doubt if this is the case, becuase he is 9 yrs old and there no one back home who can take care of him. Does anyone what is the process? How I can sponsor him and if their is a seprate process I should follow.
Please advise.

if you sponsor your mother on an immigrant visa, i thought her child who are under 21 would be eligible coming to US with her.


I would suggest you to check out other forums such as Family Based green card to get more advices.

I know about a coworker at a company in Florida ... He was born in Mexico and brought his parents and his apparently 11-13 year old sister to the United States. My assumption is that she must be a dependant on the GC petition of the parents. I will try to see if I could find out more details ... For now, I just wanted to let you know this bit of hear-say, for whatever it is worth to you.

Thanks for the information. I 'm interested to know how you got here in 2 yrs? I would really appreciate if you can give any details. I can't leave me dad back home with my brother, as he is very sick and he can't live on his own. My brother is 18 right now and if it will take 6 yrs then he won;t be 21 anymore in that case what will happen?
 
deanos if ur brother is 18 it will definitely take a long time. my mom sponsored me when i was 14 and i got here when i was 16 but tht was back in 95.things have changed like oc worker provided with the link .

If the kid (unmarried, under 21 of age) is the dependent of the sponsored immigrant, won't he/she recieve the immigrant visa automatically upon the sponsored immigrant's visa is approved?

I was told it will only happen if I will sponsor my brother or sister, but if I will sponsor my parents they can't bring any dependent under 21, which is very strange that it works for one set of group only. Must be a flaw in law, but thats what i have been told.
