Sponsoring my spouse while living out of the US

I'm a US citizen and my spouse of 5+ years is not. We live outside the US. My spouse needs to go to the US for roughly a year (work and school), while I would remain outside the US. We would visit each other throughout the year. My intention is to apply for permanent residency for her through an I-130. Given my circumstances, is my application feasible? If not, can you please recommend an alternative? If so, how long would it take? Also, the I-130 asks the address at which we'd reside in the US. Given that we don't currently reside in the US and really wouldn't know our address until we have the green card, how should I answer that?

Thanks!

You need to be living in the US or demonstrate your arrangements to move back to the US in the near future.

I presume you plan to move back to the US near the end of her 1 year of work/study? Then do that, and file the papers for her when you get there, and she'll be allowed to stay in the US after to pursue the green card process after her visa status expires.

One caveat: If she's going to work and study in the US with a J1 visa, and the visa has a 2-year home country residence requirement, it won't be so simple.
