Sponsoring for parents to visit USA, while H1B in process

I would appreciate anyone who could share their experience or information regarding this issue.

My H1B expires in December '02. My company is applying for my new H1B next week (November '02). Looking at the backlogs, I am not expecting the new H1B to be approved till March '03.

I am planning to get my parents to visit USA during Jan '03. How can I sponsor them, when I might not have a approved H1B at that time? Is this possible? Will any letters from employer/notary stating that my new H1B is process help?

Suggestions anyone?
