Sponsored by brother - family name discrepancy

Hi,

My brother, who is a US citizen is ready to sponsor me under F4 category.
One of the problems we have is, our family name is spelled slightly differently
from his to mine, just one extra alphabet in his last name compared to mine.
Does it in any way affect the processing?

I appreciate your help in clarifying this.

Hi there,

I have my interview tommorrow. My mom is sponsering me and i have a different last name as my mom. Because my dad is out of the picture, but i still have his last name. My mom has her new husband's name (my stepdad). Have i confused u enough. lol

Well to cover my mom's name changes, she has official government affitdavitts from our country that has the name changes etc. So since my name is different from her's , our lawyer said we needed:

1) My birth certificate with my mom's old name on it
2) The affitdavits of name change and marriage and divorce decrees

I don't know if this helps, but you gotta prove, you have the same mom or dad with official government documents from your country.

My interview is tommorrow..pray for me, i'll keep u updated.
