Hi,
I'm planning to bring my parents on Visitor's visa to US.But I myself am on Adjustment of Status(AOS),with I-485 pending for over 3 yrs(EB3-category  ) and H1 6 YRS COMPLETED AND WORKING ON EAD.Is it possible???? Will my parents have any issues at the consulate with my current legal status? Please advice,

thanks,
Abhi

It should be no problem. Just send all the required docs. You could look at www.immihelp.com for the details. You need to send a copy of your I-485 and the EAD/AP. I used the same last year and my folks got the visa without any problem.

Thanks gcpll

Hi gcpll,
Thanks for giving me the info. But I do NOT have current AP.I have previous expired AP and current EAD for next 1 yr.wHAT SHOULD I DO??

tHANKS FOR YOUR HELP,
Abhi

I think it should be fine even without the AP. Try to send the copies of all your old EADs (to justify that your stay in legal in US).

Your parents should have absoultely no issues with you being in AOS status.

Your legal status is protected by having a pending 485 - you don't have to provide EAD and/or AP documents - all you need to be legally here is the pending 485.

I've brough both my parents and my wife parents for a month visits without providing either EAP or AP to the consulate :) I've just provided papers listed in the help for Affidavit of Support form, it was enough. You should have no problem at all (at least your status should not be a cause of concern).

Thank to all for the info.

Thanks all!!
I will get all the paperwork ready. But now the VFS in chennai has june'2006 as the first available dates for interview. :-(
