I am considering sponsoring my brother (married with three kids daughter 13 yr old and sons and 6 years old each) for US permanent residence. I looked at the procedures at various websites on the internet and at http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/us...nnel=64039c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD
and http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/us...nnel=64039c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD
I could not get the answer to the following questions
a) It seems I need to file I 130 only for my brother and at some point in the process, his kids / spouse will automatically be included. At which step is this done
b) Since there is a 10 year waiting period, the daugher who is 13 year old now will be 23 i.e. older than 21. If she applies for a student visa for graduate studies in US, will it be denied because her father (and implicitly her) have already declared their intention to immigrate
c) Similarly, if my brother and his spouse want to visit US on a tourist visa while the immigration application is being processed, will they be denied tourist visa because they have declared their intent to immigrate
d) Do I need to get a lawyer involved or can I do it on my own
Thank you for any inputs
