Sponsor Green Card

hi guys,
i dont wanna sound difficult or dumb lol...im a grad student and one of my professors is willing to sponsor me for a green card. beacause im working with him in several projects (IT, translation, consulting...etc). he needs me a lot and he s willing as i said to sponsor me. what do i need to do to get my green card by him sponsoring me? do i have to simply fill some forms and wait for my interview or what? any advice or suggestion will be more than welcomed guys.

You would like to go to the forum for employment based applications. Because he will have to sponsor you as your employer.
