Spoke with Senator's office - no luck

Since I was under retrogression, I thought I would atleast get my papers all set when retrogression
would be over and my priority date came up.

I called the immigration official for Senator's office, and requested her for the two things -
1. If they could ask the FBI name check to be expedited
2. If they could ask USCIS to adjudicate my I-485 and keep it ready for approval.

The immigration person said that was not possible. She said nothing could be done while retrogression was on.

She also mentioned that the senator would vote to approve S. 1033 (McCain-Kennedy) bill
but would vote against S.1438 (Cornyn-Kyle) bill

Anybody have any luck with your senator to get the name check expedited or I-485 adjudicated in this situation?

I think the MaCain-Kennedy bill calls for many more immigration visa number than existing number or that of Cornyn-Kyle bill.

That is correct.

The senator was a democrat and was worried about the content of Cornyn-Kyl bill, since it was mostly talking about sending illegal immigrants back and that sort of stuff

Either bill if passed would be good for us.
