I think it will significantly speed up after RD 4/01 as that was the deadline for 245 (i), and then will slow down again from July as that is when EB3\'s got current.
who are not even lucky to get a good IIO... Just kidding. I guess we just need to have more patience. Now a days, we are seeing a lot of Discouragements. Even I wrote some discouraging stuff in this week which I feel bad about now. Guess what, we will see some approvals in the next week for April filers and we will all be lucky. Let us ride the Optimism ship guys. Come on have some fun and be GC Kool.
I admit that I have written a lot of discouraging comments lately.
I\'m really disappointed at VSC\'s speed this month. While the processing time released today says it\'s processing 4/1 cases, I really think that\'s just a lie because we haven\'t seen any April case approvals. According to a recent Washington Post report, INS is striving to process I-485s within 6 months by September of this year. Wonder how they are going to accomplish that goal.
The reasons are simple:
(1) We are only a small drop of the sea of the entire I-485 applicant population (I mean who surfing this site)
(2) The normal latency of AVM update and approval notification
I think it is one or may be two officers might have started with april cases. I am sure that VSC wanted to show some kind of an improvement from its previous posting for its I 485 dates, which might have made them post april 2001. Probably the rest of the lazy idiots are still working on March cases.
I think VSC is deluged with 485 cases, thanks in part to 245(i) which allowed millions of illegals to join the queue at the same time as us. If it were just EB cases alone, they would be current. But last year was a bonanza for the millions of illegal immigrants to file 485 petitions.
