Called NSC IIO at 11:00 after the usual busy signel I finally got connected to an officer at 11:30 am. He checked the status of my case and told me that my case "is on the edge of falling into a basket for approval". I dont exactly know what that means. I think he used euphemism to mean that my case is still pending on the shelve to be picked by an officer. He mentioned that I can expect an approval in about a month or so. Apparently, the INS is no longer allowing the officers to put overtime. He checked my fingerprints status to be fine....seeing all the october case approvals I really thought mine would be within the next couple of days....anyhow...thats my share of news. By the way this is the first time I ever called INS since my process started sometime in \'97. The officer was very cordial, gave me his first name. Good Luck.
