My notice date for I485 is 11/29/02, I saw a couple of approvals for ND 11/25 and 11/26 on Rupnet so I could not hold my breath any longer and called IIO.

She was a cool headed woman asked for my receipt number, verified my name and said "Lets see what we've got here ...." My heart skipped couple of beats, then after some "TH ... TH ... TH.." sounds she said we're currently working on August 2001 cases and I think you filed your case in November.

I said 'Yes'.

Then the reply comes "There is no progress on this case as yet, I think it will be another 90 days before we get to this"

I insisted and said some of my friends who filed in Oct have received their approvals, and you're saying that my case is not assigned to an officer even as yet ..... :confused:

She totally ignored my question and said I don't think it will be assigned to any officer for another 90 days ... :o

I don't know what to believe now ... the online status still says that a notice to appear for FP was sent to you on March 27th blah blah ... Rupnet has entries for people getting approvals left - right and center for November NDs ....

Cool your heels, mate. Don't get upset over what the IIO tells you. I know that we know they have been dishing out lotsa approvals for Aug/Sept/Oct/Nov but it's a matter of luck.

There are a bunch of us filed in July and up-to-date, we haven't heard any approvals yet. We called, moaned, snickered, cursed, and asked but the answer is always pending or on its way to an IIO. (muttered...wonder which highway we need to follow so that the IIO would at least acknowledged our cases). In fact, there are still folks out there who applied earlier part of the year and still haven't got their approval.

So, in short, know how you feel but just hang in there buddy. Have a good weekend.

My Kind advise

will be dont bother contacting IIO if u want to get status on a case.Usually they dont lie , but info they give is of no use at all.
If u want to verify some thing like change of address or something like that , u may want to contact IIO(AYYAYYO)

What's your RD? I guess, they are processing upto Oct RDs. If you look at rupnet, many Oct RDs are processed (RFE or approved), but very few Nov RDs.

My RD is 11/06/01 and ND 11/28/01

My RD is Nov 29th and ND is also Nov 29th, and lin number is LIN-020-049-5XXXX.

When I saw couple of people with lin 020-045 and 046, I was kind of anxious to know about my case since it is 049 (49th working day from start date of 2002 cases which is Oct 1st 2001).

I'm in the same boat (RD Nov 05/2001). I wouldn't call the IIO either. Its kind of waste of time and call.
