I wanted to check the status and have his opinion of whether I should renew my EAD (expiring on Nov 29)

I was told that they are processing (upto) Sep 15 and that I should renew my EAD just to be on the 'safe side', in case an RFE is issued.

I asked if my case was assigned to an officer, and he said he was not allowed to give that kind of information.

I am going to risk it, wait until Oct 1 to renew my EAD.

PS:
- tried yesterday, got connected at 11:45 am, and was on hold until 2:30 pm. had to hang up as I had a meeting. :(
- tried today at 8:00 am, got connected at 8:05 and was lucky enough to talk to one at 8:10 am. :)

Please Dont take that Risk, Think of it as an Insurance, Hopefully you will get approved before your EAD expires, but its only the question of $120.00, why risk it buddy????
 
On second thoughts...

Yes, I know should not be risking it. But, I am just a little bit hesitant and want to delay it, since I have seen posts that say indicate that EADs get approved in 3 weeks now.

How nice would life be if you knew when to expect everything! Also, how boring would it be!
 
You never know. My EAD-RD is August 16, still waiting for the approval. I checked AVM yesterady, same message. EAD will be expired on Nov 29.
