what do you mean by "I140 amendment will not work"?

does it mean that you don\'t need to file for an amendment or does it mean that all such cases are on hold? please clarify ...

She said that I cannot affect the hold by an ammended I-140 or for that matter anything else.

r3 don\'t worry i got the same message from iio on monday but my i-485 and redo i-140 approved on tuesday

Congrats gcnohope,
Many IIOs are plain ignorant morons. It is our badluck that many times we have to talk to such morons. They do not know INS rules but they sit there as IIOs. Only alternative for usis to call many times until we get an IIO who knows how to do the work.
