Spoke to IIO this morning. Looks like each IIO has different ways of explaining. My RD is 11/19 & ND 12/10.

She asked me to wait for another 60 days. When I asked what dates r u processing currently.. She said November, when I asked what date in November.... answer was any dates in November.

Do not call IIO unless you have a good reason

But you can check your status by calling AVM any # of times.
It's an automated system so it won't affect anything.

Whenever you speak with an IIO, they make a note of that conversation in your file (typical call center app). And who knows! Someone might get irritated if you call too often...

And let's follow a protocol - if your case is represented by a lawyer, let your lawyer talk to the IIO.

Most importantly - let the IIO do the job: processing I-485!

I didnt know that IIO ( Immigration Information Officer) processes the 485 application.

I thought they were there to answer your question. I dont believe if we few stop calling them, it is going to make any dent in their call volume.

But I take your advice and will refrain from unnecessarily calling the office.

Thank you all for giving the input.

No Fooling

Ha ha ha..See what these guys are saying. IIO's job is to give information(like customer service representative). We all paid fee
for our applications and IIO's job is providing information to the applicants.
Ofcourse only fools will call IIO every one month. Better thing would be to call IIO once in 3 or 4 months.

I am confused by ur statements. But thankyou for suggestion of checking every 3-4 months.

That too only if you get through the busy tone you recv.
