Actually my wife called and conf. me latter, the IIO was the best (judged from the complains from others)
First he apologized for not giving out the information to my wife and we had a discussion on privacy of information and blah, blah .. and he said it is shame to not giving information to the spouse but it is the INS (and other companies ) policy.
Then he said my case was picked up on Sep 30th and depending on the Offices work load a decision will be made in 30 to 60 days, he wish he had more information that he would have shared.
I asked if I have to renew my EAD (expires on 29th Dec 2002),
For that he put me on hold to find out from his supervisor and got back to me and said its my decision as EAD will be approve in 30 to 60 days and said “If I were you I will wait until 29 Oct and then apply."
He was on the phone for more than 20 min and was very courteous.
I Hope next week its my turn.
