After knowing that two of my friends who applied later than me got their I485 Approval, I called once
again to find out the status of my case.
IIO was polite though. I told him that my case has been there for more than 18 months. I told that I called in may
and was told that my case is with an officer and I called in July, I was told the same thing. So I asked him
what was the reason why july 99 cases are getting approved. He told me to hold on for a while and came back
and said that they could (guess probably to put an end to the call) be waiting on Visa numbers from DOS. I was
shocked at this time. I asked how come visa number are available for july 99 cases when they fall under the same
calendar year. Then he said that they have to get info FBI FP,LABOUR and finally DOS. I told him my FP was
cleared one year ago. Then he said may be my I-140 with a visa number is not ready. I told him that my I140 was
approved and he agreed. I don\'t know what he means by having a I-140 approval with a Visa Number. I am confused
and disgusted.
Any body knows what the process actually is.
