Spoke to IIO, she seems pretty nice at the start , told her about my and spouse status case .
I told her my case got aprroved but my wife case still shows the old message .

She said "Spouse should call regarding her case . Its against the law"

I also told her since I m primary aplicant , I d like to know my wife s case status more than anybody else, But she was adamant to give any info .
Then I called my wife to set up a conference , In the mean time she (IIO) hung up on me.

I was just wondering what a freaking geek waste she is ??

Problems I foresee With this there is no point talkking to any IIO , they are all bunch of jerks ..

Its a matter of time, your spouse will get approved eventually. I never seen any deriative case been rejected or denied. So u should be fine. All the best.

la_cool , keep your cool. Everything will be fine. Its matter of few days. So maintain your paitence for some more time..........

I just spoke to IIO

to verify my address change (just apt # changed). Here is what she told me. My RD is 11/21/01. EAC 02-060-xxxxx

Case is pending.
It may take 1 to 2 months possibly upto 3 months.

They have about 30- 40 K cases from November.

When I raised the issue about fingerprints expiring she said they usually take that into account but they may ask to redo finger prints as well.

She also mentioned that I will get the letter anyway.

Is it becoz of address change?

It appears the wait continues....

That 30K might be including all types of GC's (Employment, Family,
Asylum, Illegal immigrants applying for GC, several other categories). If they don't move to January without processing all these applications, then it's a worrying situation for
2002 filers

Don't worry about what a dumb IIO says

Folks - don't get frustrated when talking to IIOs, just remember
1) IIO is a fancy name for govenment customer service people, they are not really "officer"s , no more than the guys doing security detail in my apartment building. These are basically "how may I help you ?" jobs without the professionalism
2) They are undertrained, underpaid, unionized and always pissed off at how unfair the world is to them. High School is probably as far most of them went.
3) They are not case officers and they know next to nothing about immigration laws, the best they can do is look up stock answers in a computer and say encouraging but useless stuff
4) Remember when you went for your visas, how the loudmouth sitting at the reception at the embassy for minimum wage was invariably the biggest jerk around ? It is exactly the same here

Also there are the one or two exceptions that may make the call worthwhile ...

waytoolong,

I totally agree with your comments. I experienced the same when I called to inquire about my case. Both calls resulted in useless infomation and more frustration.....

Also if they have 30-40K cases from November why the hellare they processing later dates...???

No offense but she is well within her rights to say that. This response is not limited to BCIS. Have you ever tried calling your wife's bank or credit card company? Their response will not be any different from the way BCIS responded.
